ANGELICA RUGGIERO:
Based in New York City, Angelica first started her music career when she joined chorus at the age of 8. A self-taught vocalist, she began posting YouTube videos at the age of 10, performing cover songs on guitar and ukulele- both of which she also taught herself. Once she turned 17, she joined her first band and began writing songs. Since then she has been working on her craft of developing herself into a strong guitar player, and a proficient lyricist. She has been professionally singing multiple nights a week, every week since the age of 19. In 2022, her and Stephen started collaborating, combining their writing and performing focuses. Now they are ready to show the world their music with their new band Same Mistakes.
ABOUT US
STEPHEN ESPOSITO:
Stephen prides himself in his songwriting and lyricism. Since writing his first song at the age of 11, he’s developed into a proficient piano and guitar player as well as a seasoned percussionist. Since 2022, he has been collaborating with Angelica, and their future as songwriters and performers will be embodied through their new band Same Mistakes.
BRANDON SKIDMORE:
Brandon plays bass guitar as well as being a dedicated songwriter. His passion, drive and ability to bring both funk and punk into each song sets Same Mistakes apart from the rest. His influence of classic rock, pop punk, funk and jazz, Brandon’s sound is as versatile as it is unforgettable.
MATT SMERINA:
Matt drives the group with dynamic, powerful drumming. His style fuses rock-solid backbeats and creative fills, keeping tempos tight while enhancing each song’s energy.
